"CIRQUE ZIVA" BRINGS THRILLING ACROBATIC PRODUCTION TO PARAMOUNT THEATRE

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The Asbury Park Boardwalk announced another important milestone in its incredible resurgence.  A destination deeply rooted in music, art and entertainment will now welcome a resident company to one of its historic venues.  Starting June 24, the critically acclaimed Golden Dragon Acrobats will bring "Cirque Ziva," a show created by impresario Danny Chang specifically for Asbury Pak audiences, to the Paramount Theatre for a five-week run.

"Cirque Ziva" will mark the first residency every held at the Paramount Theatre in its more than 80-year history.  The show's thrilling human pyramids, daring flips, and awe-inspiring tosses and tumbles, promise to entertain spectators of all ages.  Daily matinees and evening performances offer the entertainment value found in major metropolitan areas complemented by Monmouth County's number-one beach and boardwalk amenities, including an eclectic selection of restaurants and lounges, boutique shops, a water park, miniature golf, a pinball museum and more.

"We are very excited to welcome the Golden Dragon Acrobats to the Asbury Park Boardwalk.  Just as audiences in cities like New York and Las Vegas can experience theatrical performances with entertainment-driven amenities, Boardwalk patrons can have the same incredible experience in Asbury Park this summer," said Pasqualina DeLucia of Madison Marquette.

Founded and directed by Danny Chang, the Golden Dragon Acrobats, a troupe that has toured five continents and 65 countries throughout its 30 years of performances, will draw upon twenty-seven centuries of time-honored Chinese tradition to present "Cirque Ziva" to the Jersey Shore community.  Both Chang and his wife, Angela, have been nominated for Drama Desk Awards for their theatrical achievements.

A special performance honoring the Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth County is slated for Thursday, June 23.  Following the charitable opening, "Cirque Ziva" performances will run June 24 through July 31.  Scheduled performances include matinee and evening shows every Tuesday through Sunday.

Tickets for "Cirque Ziva" are currently on sale at www.TicketMaster.com, the Stone Pony Box Office and the Boardwalk Box Office.  Admission to the family-friendly show ranges from $12.00 to $43.00, plus applicable fees.

ABOUT THE ASBURY PARK BOARDWALK
The Asbury Park Boardwalk has been undergoing a remarkable transformation. It is a mix of modern amenities and soulful authenticity that transcends today's perception of the Jersey shore. The New York Times describes it as a place where "the past stands vigil over the present" and declared that "Black and white, gay and straight, child-ridden and child-free: there's a little of everything and everyone seems to feel at home." This unique atmosphere has been nurtured carefully by developer Madison Marquette, a Washington, DC based retail real estate owner and operator that assumed control over the boardwalk's redevelopment in 2006. A legendary vibrant music scene as well as award winning restaurants, shops, lounges and beaches is just a part of what has recently made the Asbury Park Boardwalk one of the most critically acclaimed destinations in the U.S. For more information, please visit www.APBoardwalk.com.
