The Jersey Shore Roller Girls Host First Summer Match On June 18th
Right Coast, on the other hand, has spent the season rebuilding and are sure to give Murder Beach a run for their money with this new team. You will see some fresh faces like Pinky and the Pain, Sai A. Nide and Hubba Hubba along with all the old favorites including the recently returned Tamel Toe Stomper and Cool Mo T. Thanks to a recent draft, Right Coast even has a couple new "killers" including; Toastface Killah – formerly of Murder Beach Militia and Joy KillHer – formerly of the Anchor Assassins. Spoiler alert!!! – See the crowd favorite RCR blocker HotRod Hussy as she steps into the high-pressure jammer position!! This match up is sure to deliver a spectacular display of elegant violence so DON'T MISS IT!!
As always, the Jersey Shore Roller Girls - made up of hard working women from Monmouth, Ocean, Atlantic, Mercer and surrounding counties - have partnered with a charity for this bout to support and promote a very worthy cause. Representatives from The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore will be on hand during the bout to educate attendees about their mission and work. Learn more about this fantastic group dedicated to the development of strong, independent female leaders at http://www.girlscoutsjs.org/.
Stick around after the June 18th bout as JSRG pairs with the Wonder Bar for the after party! Across the street from Convention Hall, the Wonder Bar will offer all bout attendees with a wristband no cover charge. The Jersey Shore Roller Girls dance almost as well as they skate and will be on hand and fully energized for any fans that want to keep the party going!!
Roller derby is the newest extreme sport for women rapidly sweeping the nation. It has been re-vamped into a flat-track version of the old-school bank track style. THIS IS THE REAL THING, not an orchestrated match-up. The Jersey Shore Roller Girls, founded in 2007, skate under the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) rules and regulations and train hard to bring you this athletic event!
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the first whistle blows at 8 p.m. All ages are welcome but you must be 21 to drink. Advance tickets are available for only $15 when purchased directly from your favorite local roller girl or $17 when purchased online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/172172 Tickets are $20 at the door, $15 with military ID and $5 for children.
