The Pop Ups are back in action with the performance of their new musical comedy puppet adventure titled "Radio Jungle", featuring songs from their GRAMMY nominated album. Jacob and Jason find more than they bargained for when a normal trip to Pop Up City turns into a fantastic quest through the jungles of Mexico. New puppet friends join the crew from the critically acclaimed PASTA! show to help The Pop Ups find every color of the rainbow in a high energy, ecological scavenger hunt!
Prepare for an educational romp through time and space populated with mermaids, bananas, on-location-extreme-cooking shows, treasure maps, giant crayons, a sky full of glowing constellations, bi-lingual bats, and more!!! The magic unfolds, propelled by award winning music, and dance beats that will catapult both young and old out of their seats!
The Pop Ups (Jason Rabinowitz and Jacob Stein) are a Brooklyn-based musical duo who the Wall Street Journal says "reflect the creativity percolating on the independent children's music scene." Time Out New York named them one of 2012's Best 15 Bands for Kids. The Pop Ups received a GRAMMY nomination for their second family music CD, "Radio Jungle", which their live show is based on. This ready-for-primetime collection of wildly imaginative and catchy tunes debuted in April, and it has since won acclaim from Parents' Choice and the Fids and Kamily Awards, high rotation on SiriusXM's "Kids Place Live" radio show and other national acclaim.
Over the past two years, the duo has also won critical acclaim for their stage show "PASTA: A Pop Ups Puppet Musical," which has enjoyed successful runs in New York and Los Angeles. The Pop Ups perform regularly, including at NYC venues and with the Yo Gabba Gabba Live Tour.
