SOUTH CAMDEN THEATRE COMPANY ANNOUNCES GREEN EYES IN NEW ORLEANS: AN AFTERNOON WITH TENNESSEE WILLIAMS

(CAMDEN, NJ) -- South Camden Theatre Company, a nonprofit professional theatre company located in Camden, New Jersey announces its first annual fundraising event titled GREEN EYES in New Orleans: An Afternoon with Tennessee Williams. For one day only on Sunday, September 8 at 2p.m 2013, the fundraiser will feature the regional premiere of GREEN EYES an erotic one-act play written by Tennessee Williams, directed by Joseph Paprzycki and staring Tasha Milkman and Eric Endsley. Also featured during the fundraiser are musical performances by Philadelphia Jazz vocalist Miss Justine Keeys to immerse the audience in the New Orleans theme of the afternoon event.

GREEN EYES takes place in the New Orleans hotel room of a honeymooning couple as a young solider on leave from the Vietnam war and his new bride wake up the day after their wedding with questions and accusations about what happened in the alcohol fueled night before. Written in 1970 GREEN EYES was not published or produced until 2008, and since has only had limited performances in Massachusetts and New York. South Camden Theatre Company brings the play to the stage at our home at Waterfront South Theatre for this special one day fundraising event and regional premier of the play.

Tickets for the event are available for purchase for $100 individually or $150 per couple online at http://www.southcamdentheatre.org , by calling 1-866-811-4111. This fundraising event is intended for mature audiences only.

Producing Artistic Director Joseph M. Paprzycki states, "I am so proud to bring this regional premiere to our audience at SCTC having seen two different productions of the play at the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theatre Festival. This is a newly discovered work that shows Tennessee Williams steamy, poetic writing with raw sexuality you won't soon forget."

The fundraising event will be held Sunday afternoon September 8, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the 96-seat Waterfront South Theatre located at 400 Jasper Street in Camden, New Jersey.
