ASBURY PARK COMEDY FEST RETURNS TO THE SHORE

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The Asbury Park Comedy Fest returns to the Jersey Shore for three fun-filled events on August 23, 24 and 26, 2013. The festival, in its second year, brings national comedians to Asbury Park while raising funds for charity.

Friday, August 23rd, The Wonder Bar, 1213 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park presents the Asbury Park Comedy Fest's grand "Kick-off Party" with live music and adult comedy. Comedian Craig Loydgren, the "Tasmanian Devil of Comedy" from The Artie Lange Show and Sirius XM, will host. Additional comics appearing include improv troupe ComedySportz NYC, Buda the Comedian, John Conte, John Svenda and more! The cutting-edge ComedySportz is fast-paced, improvisational comedy, played as a sport. Two teams take turns making up scenes, playing games and singing songs all presided over by a referee. The party peaks with a late night, guest-filled jam featuring Clarence Clemons III a.k.a. Nick (son of the E Street Band's late sax man, Clarence Clemons) and his Nick Clemons Band. The Asbury Park Comedy Fest is produced by Nick Clemons. Wonder Bar doors 7:30pm. $5 cover (tiny cover, HUGE show!).

Saturday, August 24th, The Paramount Theatre, 1300 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park presents the 2nd Annual Asbury Park Comedy Fest feature night. Hosted by New Jersey's "Bad Boy of Comedy," Mike Marino, this year's show will feature: HAL SPARKS Second City alumni, star of "Queer As Folk", "Lab Rats" and former host of E!'s Talk Soup | SUNDA CROONQUIST | PURNELL HOLLOWAY and a VERY special guest! The Asbury Park Comedy Fest is excited to be helping friends and neighbors at the Jersey Shore. Funds raised at this event through partnership with Townsquare Media's Restore the Shore effort will benefit Hometown Heroes.

Then, on Monday, August 26th, at Jumping Brook Country Club, 210 Jumping Brook Road, Neptune, the Comedy Fest weekend culminates with the Asbury Park Comedy Fest Celebrity Golf Outing. The event is open to the public and welcomes golfers and sponsors. Included in the registration fee is locker room access, driving range and golf carts, a souvenir gift bag, luncheon at noon, 1:30 pm shotgun start, contests, and an open bar (wine/beer) Awards Dinner - hosted by comedian Ryan Maher.

The Asbury Park Comedy Fest is produced by NCB Productions whose founder and principal is Clarence "Nick" Clemons III, the oldest son of the late Clarence "Big Man" Clemons. Nick has been active through his band and production work in helping to keep music and the Arts alive in Asbury Park. Nick's philantrophy is maintained through his charitable organization, NCB Charities. The Arts Outreach Fund in honor of Nick's father supports supplemental arts funding in schools, as well as women's causes. Celebrity Golfers include comedians, athletes, dj's and musicians! Sign-up today to play with Nick Clemons, Mike Marino, Hal Sparks, Ryan Maher, Vini Lopez, Keith Jones, and the list keeps growing!

Nick Clemons adds, "NCB Productions is again proud to bring this comedy festival to Asbury Park. We are expanding with an opening 'Kick-off' party and a celebrity golf outing. My first memories of my father away from the fans and the celebrity was when he introduced me to the game of golf. I was amazed that a man of his size could show the control and graceful combination of strength and concentration to hit a golf ball. I've used those same traits in everything I do as they were the building blocks of who I am today."

Tickets for Friday night's show are available first come/first serve at the Wonder Bar the night of the event. Pre-sale tickets for Saturday's big comedy show are available now through Ticketmaster.com and at the Stone Pony and Asbury Park boardwalk box offices. They range from $20 to $75 (only limited seats remain at the $75 level). Golfers and Sponsors can call 732.948.2491 or e-mail info@NCBProductions.com - to sign up for the August 26th Celebrity Golf Outing.
