Donna Orbits The Moon -- Held Over Through October 2nd

(LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- The New Jersey Repertory Company, located at 179 Broadway in Long Branch is proud to announce that Ian August's "Donna Orbits the Moon" has been held over thru October 2nd due to popular demand. The play is directed by Marc Geller, and stars Andrea Gallo as Donna.

Donna represents all that is good about America. She lives in the heartland and has raised two children, maintains an impeccable household, is a loyal partner to her husband, and is active in her community. She is famous locally for her blueberry blondies, cookies whose recipe she jealously guards. So when Donna unravels and starts hearing voices, and uses her husband's steak, that she has lovingly prepared for his dinner, as a sponge to clean the floor, you know that not only is she in trouble, but America as well. The play moves intriguingly toward unraveling and revealing the mystery as to why this cornerstone of her community has become unglued, and in this revelation lies one of the great challenges to our nation today. A comic-drama of cosmic proportions.

Performances are Thursdays, Fridays at 8pm; Saturdays at 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm; Sundays at 2:00 pm, now through October 2nd.

All tickets are $35. Discounts available to full-time students (13-25) and to military personnel. For tickets call 732-229-3166 or visit www.njrep.org for online ticketing.
