Australian Roots Rocker, Brad Butcher, To Play The Saint in Asbury Park

(TORONTO)-- Brad Butcher just did four shows in Toronto at NXNE 2013.  After confirming the invitation to this years festival in Toronto, this Springsteen fan was compelled to road trip to NJ and wanted nothing more than to perform at The Saint in Asbury Park, NJ on Wednesday, June 19.  This is the first time Australian roots/alt-country rising star has been to the US.

The songs of musician/poet Brad Butcher are stirred up by his life, the people in it and the places he's been.  Musically inspired by Ray Lamontagne, Springsteen and Ryan Adams, Butcher's self titled debut is turning heads.  Managed by producer/engineer Anthony Lycenko (Pete Murray, Xavier Rudd, Elvis Costello, David Bowie, Busby Marou) and with awards and celebrity recommendations aplenty Brad Butcher is one of Australia's affluential up-and-comers. He has already attracted the attention of key media tastemakers at home, including the pivotal Australian national radio station Triple J.

Brad just released his self-titled debut album to critical acclaim and audiences across Australia have been hanging on his every word as he takes his songs and literally breathes life into them. Brad Butcher has a voice that can silence the room with the softest of melodies. His songs are unabashed, gritty and honest.  His lyrics bleed loss, redemption, love, hope, sadness and defiance. His heartache is all too evident.

There's been a buzz building about this Aussie as a genuine, unaffected singer-songwriter, he blew them away at Bigsound in Brisbane late last year .  "Conversations and Complications", Brad's second single, was recently the most ordered track for airplay filling the number 1 spot on the AirIt Now and Great Southern Charts for three consecutive weeks. Shortlisted as a finalist for the 2013 APRA Professional Development Awards, the 2012 Queensland Music Awards and the 2012 MusicOz awards for his songwriting, Brad Butcher is world class and has a very bright future ahead of him.

The Saint is located at 601 Main Street in Asbury Park, NJ.  For more information on Brad Butcher visit http://www.bradbutcher.com or https://www.facebook.com/pages/Brad-Butcher/219904618072262
