The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey presents Holiday event Something Merry This Way Comes

(Madison, NJ) -- Halls are being decked in Madison, NJ for Something Merry This Way Comes , the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's newest addition to an exciting season of productions and special one-night events.  This winter holiday event will take place on Monday, December 12, at 7:30pm at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue in Madison. Tickets are $32 and can be purchased online at www.ShakespeareNJ.org or by phone by calling the Shakespeare Theatre box office at 973-408-5600.

Hearkening back to a time when families read to each other, Something Merry This Way Comes is a cornucopia of sparkling and inspiring holiday tales, songs, and poems read by members of our esteemed company of actors.  "Selling out two years in a row, our Halloween event, Something Wicked This Way Comes, met with such an enthusiastic response that we decided to create a holiday series, adding something merry to ring in the winter," said Artistic Director Bonnie J. Monte.  "Something Merry This Way Comes is appropriate for theatre lovers of all ages, and is an antidote for the media blitz and commercial glitz that inundates our lives as we near the holidays."

Directed by Associate Artistic Director Joe Discher (fresh from his critically acclaimed production of To Kill a Mockingbird), this enchanting evening will feature winter songs and beloved stories by such literary stars as O. Henry, Truman Capote, Shel Silverstein, Hans Christian Anderson, and Dr. Seuss, read and performed by a cast of superb actors and musicians.

Tickets for Something Merry This Way Comes are $32 and are now on sale. To purchase tickets, or for more information, call 973-408-5600 or visit www.ShakespeareNJ.org. Something Merry This Way Comes will be performed at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue (at Lancaster Road) in Madison.
