Foundation Provides Grant Funding to Strand Ventures, Inc.

(LAKEWOOD, NJ) -— The Investors Charitable Foundation, which provides charitable funding to not-for-profits that enrich the communities served by Investors Bank, has awarded a $5,000 to Strand Ventures, Inc.  The grant will help the organization offer scholarships to at-risk youths.

Strand Ventures operates a comprehensive performing arts center in the historic Strand Theater, a 1,042-seat venue that has hosted some of world's most renowned performing artists.  The theater is also home to the Strand School of the Arts, which offers art education courses throughout the region.  The charitable grant will provide $500 scholarships to 10 at-risk, financially disadvantaged youths.  The scholarships will enable them to attend an eight-week semester of art education classes during the autumn season.

"In behalf of our students and the community we serve, I would like to thank our friends at the Investors Charitable Foundation for their continuing generosity," said Camille Biamonte, executive director of Strand Ventures, Inc.

"For more than a decade, Strand Ventures has enriched its community with top-quality performances and educational programs," said Kevin Cummings, president and CEO of Investors Savings Bank and a member of the Foundation's board of trustees.  "We are confident that the young people enrolled in this program will benefit greatly from a wide-ranging arts curriculum."
