Jersey Country Artist Michael Patrick Celebrates CD Release, "Another Song You Never Heard" at The Saint October 22nd!

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- On Saturday October 22nd, New Jersey Country/Americana performer Michael Patrick will celebrate the release of his newest solo CD, "Another Song You Never Heard," with a concert at The Saint in Asbury Park, NJ.

Michael Patrick, along with his bands Suburban Hillbillies (http://suburbanhillbillies.com) and Johnny Cash tribute "Ring of Fire Band" (http://www.ringoffireband.com), is often touted as one of the top Country performers in New Jersey, and in recent years has shared the stage with such country superstars as Randy Travis, Rosanne Cash, John Carter Cash, Steve Earle, Justin Townes Earle and Marty Stuart.

Patrick’s prior independent releases include "Roots and Branches" and "Something to Fall Back On". This latest release features 10 new, original songs that continue in the Americana, Country and Folk Rock traditions that make up Patrick’s signature style, alongside a few that incorporate elements of Blues, Ragtime, Gospel and even Rock. Making "Another Song You Never Heard" a breakout CD for Patrick, where he demonstrates his chops as a performer and writer.

Not an entirely unexpected departure for Patrick, considering some of the influences he has shared the staged with in recent years, including Americana superstars Justin Townes Earle and Chris Knight. Both defy being boxed into a specific genre with their sound. Not to mention Patrick’s longtime appreciation of the music of Johnny Cash, the original Country rebel rocker.

Patrick is comfortable and confident taking a leap forward with this CD, evidenced by the simple honesty and humor in songs like, "I'm Still Young," the hilarious tale of getting older on the outside, but still feeling like a kid on the inside. "Callin' in Well," which Patrick remarks, “beats telling the boss you’re sick!” And "Your Top Ten," already a YouTube sensation, which is a humorous, little ditty lamenting social media love gone bad.

This latest project was recorded at Studio X in Nashville and produced in conjunction with award winning producer Tom Manche. "Another Song You Never Heard" lays claim to an edgier feel than Patrick’s prior releases. It features some of Nashville's top session players including Mark T. Jordan on keyboards (Bonnie Raitt, Lyle Lovett, Jackson Browne), Vince Santoro on drums (Rosanne Cash, The Highwaymen, Carlene Carter), Tim Lorsch on fiddle and mandolin (Kris Kristofferson, Lucinda Williams, Townes Van Zandt, Rodney Crowell), and Jim Hoke on harmonica (Randy Travis, Kenny Rogers, George Jones).

Patrick has hand-picked some of the tri-state area’s top talent to back him at the upcoming release concerts including Mike Noordzy on bass (Mothguts Milky Chicken Spit, Johnny Jerkoff and The Blues Machine), Brian Klammer on drums (ON7, Matt Wade, Ray Aaron, T.J. Wheeler), Marty Cohl on guitar (R.U.S.T.), and Taylor Hope on fiddle (Glen Burtnik, Sherry Lynn Band).
