JON CASPI TAKES FANS INSIDE A STRANGE SITUATION: THE MAKING OF AN ALBUM INSPRIED BY ADOPTION

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -– Popular musician Jon Caspi makes his return to The ShowRoom, on Saturday, October 9 for the release of his latest album, Strange Situation.  After performing in front of two sold-out crowds at Asbury's art-house cinema in January, Caspi is excited to return with his band, The First Gun, for the multimedia album release party Inside a Strange Situation.

Caspi's latest musical incarnation boasts an eclectic sound with punk and indie rock inspirations.  He was influenced to write and produce Strange Situation after traveling to Ethiopia to adopt his son.  The album was born from this life-changing journey and the complexities of international adoption.

"The ShowRoom is pleased to welcome Jon back for a second time this year," said Nancy Sabino, co-owner of The ShowRoom.  "He not only brings his musical talents to our stage, but interacts with music fans in a way that allows them to have a one-of-a-kind experience that is hard to find anywhere else."

The ShowRoom audience will not only see Strange Situation performed live, but will also get to participate in interactive activities, discuss the album's inspirations, and experience Caspi's music and lyrics from a multimedia perspective. Inside a Strange Situation promises to offer music fans, as well as anyone whose life has been impacted by adoption, with a memorable experience and an incredible party.

Inside a Strange Situation will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 9 at The ShowRoom.  Tickets are currently on sale, and are $25.00 in advance and $30.00 at the door.  Audiences are recommended to purchase tickets in advance, as the show is expected to sell out.  Complimentary drinks and dessert are included.
