Shane Cooley Returns To Asbury Park

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- After touring both coasts of the United States and showcasing at the South By Southwest Music Conference in Austin, Shane Cooley is glad to be returning to Asbury Park. The Virginia folk-rock singer/songwriter has had an affinity for Asbury Park since his first performance at the Wave Gathering in 2008, where he caught the attention of locals with his tribute song to Bruce Springsteen, "My Asbury Park." Since then, Cooley has grown as an artist, constantly writing and touring.

Cooley graduated from The College of William and Mary in May, and is now taking the steps to becoming a full-time musician. In July, Cooley embarked upon an artists-for-artists tour named the Home Sweet Home Tour, where he toured with three other acoustic artists from New York, Nashville, and Philadelphia to each artist's home state. The concept of artist teamwork economically and musically earned the tour a great deal of recognition, and Cooley and his tourmates have been asked to be panelists at two upcoming national music conferences.

Shane Cooley will be performing at the Saint in Asbury Park on 601 Main Street on Tuesday, September 28 at 10:15pm. Other local musicians will be performing earlier in the evening. He hopes to see faces from his previous visits to Asbury Park, as well as new people to share his music with.

"Asbury Park is one of my favorite cities to perform in. No other town has such a classic rock n roll vibe, and the music scene here really tries hard to help out the artist. I'm looking forward to sharing my new songs and telling stories from the road," said Cooley.
