(LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- A Lot Like Birds will
be headlining a night at the Brighton Bar in Long Branch, NJ on Monday,
November 4 along with the bands HRVRD, Night Verses, and My Iron Lung.
The night is produced by GameChangerWorld.
A Lot Like Birds is a
post-hardcore band from Sacramento, CA, known for their tendency to
flawlessly blend a wide array of genres; from ambient soundscapes to
aggressive punk-fueled anthems to unpredictable prog-rock freakouts. In
early 2011, the band announced that Kurt Travis (formally of Dance Gavin
Dance) would be joining the band as a second vocalist. Soon after, they
signed to Doghouse Records (All American Rejects, Say Anything, The Get
Up Kids) and acquired The Artery Foundation (Asking Alexandria, Dance
Gavin Dance, Alesana) as management. A Lot Like Birds will be releasing
their new album No Place on October 29th.
Originally a
post-hardcore band in its infancy, North Carolina's HRVRD has evolved
into an emotionally captivating and enthralling group of musical
artists. Together the band, formerly known as Harvard, released their
debut EP Animals in 2008 followed by the critically acclaimed
full-length album The Inevitable and I less than a year later through
Enjoy The Ride Records. On the new album, HRVRD's haunting sound blends
intricate and cinematic guitar riffs with dark, passionate lyrics and powerful, driving rhythms.
The
show will also feature local act Audio Insight. Audio Insight is a
progressive post-hardcore band from NJ. They've played the Bamboozle
Festival twice (2011/2012) and have shared the stage with bands like
Periphery, A Lot Like Birds, and Foxy Shazam. They have toured
throughout NY, NJ, VA, PA, and MN.
Tickets for the event are $15.00. DOORS: 6:00 P.M. SHOWTIME: 6:30 P.M. Visit http://www.gamechangerworld.com/events
