New Brunswick Band Cotton Comes To The Saint

(New Brunswick, NJ) -- New Brunswick band Cotton will be playing a show at the Saint on June 17th 7 p.m. to celebrate the release of their first single from their debut album "In the Basement". Also featured on the bill are 2-time Asbury Park Music Awards nominee Like Trains & Taxis as well as Calico.

Cotton formed in 2005 when high school friends Brandon Broderick and Chris Moran started writing songs together. Since then, the band has played consistently around the tri-state area building a reputation for their truthful and heartfelt songwriting. Now they are putting the finishing touches on their first full-length studio album, "In the Basement", consisting of 12 all-original tracks.
In anticipation of this album's independent release, Cotton will be making a sample track available for free digital download on the day of the show. Physical copies of the single will be given as a free gift to everyone who attends.

Also featured on the bill is fellow New Brunswick band, Like Trains & Taxis.  Called "An irresistible three-piece blend that sits on the outer ledge of jazz and ultra chic alternative pop", the Indie Soul trio is back from hiatus after last year's national tour. To commemorate their return to the stage, they are releasing a new video for their song "Epilogue" on June 17th. The band will also be showcasing new songs and a new production style to be featured on their upcoming 4th studio album.

In the spirit of artistic collaboration, local event painter Dogmatic will be on hand to exhibit his work. Other acts include Calico as well as a local Asbury Park band.

The Saint is located at 601 Main St. in Asbury Park, NJ. 18 and older to enter. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at TicketWeb or through the band websites - http://www.cottonband.com/ (Cotton) and www.liketrainsandtaxis.com (Like Trains & Taxis).
