(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- After a whirlwind year that included her first shows at the legendary Tin Angel in Philadelphia, nominations for both the Asbury Music Awards and the Jersey Acoustic Music Awards, and watching an engagement ring placed on her finger, Sheli Aarden will celebrate another milestone with the release of "Kansas" on Saturday, April 9. Her cd release party will be held at the First Atonement Church (308 First Avenue) in Asbury Park as part of the Rosie's Cafe series. The show, which starts at 6pm, will also feature performances by Gerald Edward, Emily Grove, Jerzy Jung, and Bobby Strange.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Sean Glonek at SRG Studios in Hamilton, NJ, the record continues Aarden's musical evolution.
"I've come further in my songwriting since my last recordings both lyrically and musically," said Aarden.
Aarden has moved from personal solo shows to fronting a full electric band. Her live performances remain a spontaneous request filled fan-based experience. Always from the heart, Aarden's soulful journey reflects the inspiration of her life's music. She regularly performs in venues throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania and will be featured at the upcoming Cape May Songwriting Festival.
