On Tuesday, May 10th, the award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company is sponsoring a day-away at Peddler's Village, located four miles from New Hope, Pennsylvania. The bus will pick up passengers at two locations: Bayshore Mall behind Big Lots leaving at 7:30 a.m., and the Cape May Court House Pier One Imports at 8:00 a.m. Arrival at Peddler's Village is around 10:00a.m. Lunch, with an entrée choice of Stuffed Chicken/Cornbread Stuffing or Beef Burgundy, is 12:30-2:00p.m. The bus leaves the Village at 4:30p.m., returning to the two stops: 6:30p.m. for Cape May Court House and 6:50 at the Bayshore Mall.
Peddler's Village includes 75 quality specialty shops and restaurants, and a restored 1922 grand carousel. Many shops have home pages on the internet and can be accessed through www.peddlersvillage.com. Shops include The Celtic Rose, A Touch of Britain, Grandpa Hick's Cheese & Gourmet, and Canterbury Tales Book Shoppe. Price for the whole day, including lunch, is $65.00, with all proceeds going to support East Lynne Theater Company's Summer Student Workshop production of "Little Women," based on Louisa May Alcott's classic novel. Meanwhile, ELTC's radio-style production of "Sherlock Holmes Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle" is performing on March 18 and 19 at 8:00p.m. at The First Presbyterian Church, 500 Hughes St. in Cape May.
