Donna Orbits The Moon Premieres At NJ Rep

(LONG BRANCH, NJ) -– The New Jersey Repertory Company, located at 179 Broadway in Long Branch is proud to present the world premiere of Ian August's "Donna Orbits the Moon" Sept 8 – 25. Winner of the prestigious Thomas Barbour Memorial Playwright's Award presented by the Episcopal Actors' Guild of NYC, the play is being directed by Marc Geller, and stars Andrea Gallo as Donna.

Something is not quite right with Donna. Her life should be perfect. She has a loving husband, her children are grown and out of the house, and her status as a minor celebrity on the amateur bake sale circuit keeps her busy and very popular. But she is losing her grip on her calm, and gravity isn't working for her the way it used to. It takes a string of vehicular mishaps, an attempted assault with a deadly bible and a children's book about a retired astronaut to help her find the trail of cookie crumbs that might lead her back to Earth.

Performances for this limited engagement are Thursdays, Fridays at 8pm; Saturdays at 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm; Sundays at 2:00 pm, September 8 – 25. Previews are on Thursday, Sept 8 and Friday, Sept 9 at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Opening night Saturday, Sept 10 at 8:00 pm. There is no matinee opening night. All tickets are $35.
