Broadway's Jim Stanek Returns to Star In Skyline's It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play

(Bergen County, NJ) -- Skyline Theatre Company continues to bring Broadway to Bergen County this holiday season with Jim Stanek reprising his starring role in their benefit staging of  It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play on Sunday December 19th at 3:00pm at the Fair Lawn Community Center's George Frey Center for Arts and Recreation.

Mr. Stanek is a five time Broadway veteran of Elton John's Lestat, the classic Little Women, The Rivals, with Whoopi Goldberg in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum and with Jude Law in Indiscretions most recently appearing in The Story Of My Life with Malcolm Getz. Most recently, Mr. Stanek starred in an original adaptation of James and the Giant Peach at the Goodspeed Opera House in Connecticut.

Mr. Stanek, who will be playing the role immortalized by the great James Stewart, will be joined on stage by the entire cast of last season's production! New York actress Tiffany Lutz co-stars as Mary Bailey, George's wife portrayed by Donna Reed in the film. The rest of the population of Bedford Falls is played by four seasoned veterans; Joe Vierno of Edison, Paul Salvetoriello of South Orange, Jennifer Harrison of New York City and Alan Van Antwerp of Little Falls.

Frank Capra's beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a 1940's radio broadcast, and brings the story of the idealistic George Bailey as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve. It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play by Joe Landry is "One of the best holiday shows around…This is a fresh and inventive way of reconnecting with a classic story of love and redemption."  (Mary Houlihan, Chicago Sun-Times)
